Our Green Spaces
Wonersh Parish Council own and manage 25 acres of green space, including the recently purchased Barnett Hill Fields, and manage a further 15 acres eased from Waverley Borough Council,

In addition to this green space across Wonersh and Shamley Green, the Council also own and hold overall responsibility for 11.5 acres of woodland, 9 in Barnett Fields and also 2.5 in Gerald’s Wood. The Council has leased a further 35 acres of woodland with Waverley Borough Council maintaining management responsibility for these areas. We hold a small role in the decent maintenance of the Closed Burial Ground at Wonersh St John the Baptist Church.
Much of this is registered common land, protected for use by all. The local Cricket Clubs are responsible and manage the use of the sport fields in each Wonersh and Shamley Green for team sports. Providers of services on a commercial bases, such as personal trainers, can apply for a licence to offer these on our common land.
