Response to Waverley Borough Council’s consultations on Blackheath Common

Waverley Borough Council recently invited everyone to respond to the following consultations on Blackheath Common:

• Blackheath Common Management Plan 2014-2024 Revised Extension
• Blackheath Common Wildfire Management Plan 2026

The consultation has now closed with 105 responses on the Blackheath Common Management Plan and 56 responses on the Blackheath Common Wildfire Management Plan.  The draft documents and all responses can be viewed here on the Blackheath Common SSSI Consultations webpage.  Our own full response is included there with direct links as follows:

Our response was based on careful reading of the proposed documents and through talking with local residents, including at our public meeting held in Blackheath on 13 July 2026.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the meeting or provided their thoughts, comments and feedback separately.
